The Fleshtones - Jet Set Fleshtones
Have I mentioned how much I love rock and roll?
Here are the Fleshtones: so old and so obscure that most people don't even give them a second glance when they walk past them. Little do they know how big they used to be in the time of the post-Beatles King of the Hill extravaganza. That last part, I may have made up, but yeah, they used to be big.
Now look at them, old and cripple-y, kind of like they might break down at any moment, but they still maintain on the rock and roll, and I guess, in the end, that's all that matters. So what if you used to headline in stadiums, full of adoring fans? Now you've got an semi-filled up spaced at the local tiki-hut, and your fans, yeah, they're about as old as you.
But just listen to this song! How old do you think they are? This was done just 3 years ago, when they were, still, older than dirt, and just listen to all the awesome keyboard and guitar and the singing, and the rock chords, and the... oh my.
Enough chit chat, if you want to listen to more of their stuff, try looking on Amazon, and pray that they'll be able to make another album before they fizzle out.
