FANTOMAS

So, apparently the name of this band is based off of some bad guy from a series of early French films, maybe some novels too. I'm not sure. Regardless, these guys, uhh, are a Supergroup of sorts. Fantomas consists of Mike Patton, the dude with the crazy hair from the Melvins, some guy from Mr. Bungle and the drummer from Slayer.

If you're still reading this, I recommend checking out their album The Director's Cut. I've listened to it one and a half times, and from what I heard I enjoyed. Some songs off of the album are just short clips, while others are kind of just slow, drone-y metal type riffs, that make you feel like you're walking around with cement shoes. Another album of theirs that I would recommend would have to be Delirium Cordia. It's one track that happens to be about an hour and fifteen minutes long. It's sort of like a soundtrack to a horror movie. Very eclectic, to label the album down to one genre would be futile. But hey, if you're curious, I found the entire album on youtube. So if you want to thank me, buy me a pizza sometime.

Next time, while I'm eating pizza, I'll talk about....Ulver? dunno. I said I'd talk about the Melvins or the Cramps, but ehhhh. Maybe I'll boast about the new Ufomammut album. Later
