Stereogum sometimes randomly does these tribute albums of really awesome albums by getting other artists to cover the songs and then putting them together and yada yada yada. Do I really need to say more?
I think we can all agree how great Is This It was when it first came out ten years ago. And what's not to love about free music? Yeah! It's free! And it's full of awesome bands. Not really the one for craziness, I think my favorite were Peter, Bjorn and John's cover of "Is This It" and Computer Magics cover of the last song "Take it or Leave it".
Not the best album in the world to tribute to The Strokes, with what seems to be a lack of genuine interest from some of the artists, but hey, it's free and it's not that bad, especially if you're into the whole retro-electro scene right now. Give it a listen.
