I know the news is late today, and most of the morning has already gone by, but be happy for there is something to get you over the after lunch hump.
There isn't much that I can say about the Wooden Shjips, except what can be found on Stereogum, but I don't really think I actually have to say much anyway.
A band that's gone from one end of the coast to the other, this band is/was looking for the goodness of the west coast, and I think the vitality and east coast sounds mixed in with the wanna-be folkness is quite pleasing.
Their new album is suppose to be coming out quite soon, but no date has been specifically named. I can't wait to check it out when it does come out. But for now, just enjoy the tunes. Here's one from their previous album.
