"Escapee" by Architecture in Helsinki

Here's a happy go lucky kind of song for you from Architecture in Helsinki. This was on their new album that came out just a couple months ago. Although I may have appreciated their too-serious, self-important, style of indie pop more when they first came out in the early 2000's, and although I don't appreciate every possible group from then, now shifting to the 80's retro thing, I can't help but love this song.

Its just got an overload of electric keyboards going "boop boop" and "beep beep" and that knee tapping beat from the snare + bass drum is really hard to ignore. I think the name for that beat is "butt swagger". If not, then I now claim the right to use that title for a sexy love album of some sort.

I've heard a couple of other singles from the album, and I have to say, it's kind of "meh" to me. As I've said three sentences before, I'm not a big fan of the whole 80's revival thing. But if you are into it, and you enjoy a fun band of misfits, then the album might not be a loss for you.
