"Boys at the Metro" by The Tea Cozies

The Tea Cozies - Boys at the Metro

If the name makes you wonder how rock-awesome they are, I can guarantee you will be a lot more surprised than you think. Of course with a name as such, you can't really be expecting any level of rock near Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin, but I think you can get a good idea of where they would fit.

If there is one thing you can safely guess from, its probably the title of the song. Adding one and one together, you could probably deduce that these "people" of sorts are most likely from the UK (true), and they probably sing about boys; at which point I would have to say you're pretty much spot on.

It comes with a quick and heavy beat, and the female vocalist, who sings like how female rock vocalists sound. The guitar melody is really where the greatness of this songs comes out though. Sure the first couple of bars of just the drums are pretty good, and sure the chords from the first guitar are pretty sweet, but it's only when the massive wailing comes into play around the 12th bar when the whole song comes together for awesomeness.

If you like this song, I'm sure you would like their album. It's pretty much all just this. Now if only they'd come out with another CD.
