"The Hellcat Spangled Shalala" by The Arctic Monkeys

Oh man, this is the best song by them by far.

The Arctic Monkeys have just come out with a new album and they have decided that this will be their first single, which is a fantastic choice, I think. Some of the older fans may be sad that this isn't as quite as acerbic, or as witty as their previous works, and more in tones with mainstream hippie indie fest, but I think it's actually quite a good way to transition from their older works.

I mean, they're getting old, and it's not like the lyrics are any calmer than before. Even with all the jangly guitar and simple drum pattern, he's still pretty much talking about the same things, and he still sounds like he's going to pee on my couch so it's all good.

I gave this album a cursory look, and didn't really enjoy it so much, but now I'm thinking of maybe taking a look at it again. Hopefully, this is mixed in between a couple of faster rockier songs, and hopefully there are more songs like this on the album itself. I will delve into the depths of "Suck It and See" and then let you know.

Thanks to "We All Want Something" for the awesome share.
