"Exile, Vilify" by The National

What are some of the best things in life? Ice cream cakes, camping out by the beach, and musicians that don't take themselves too seriously.

For such a sad song, "recently" released for the vidja game Portal 2, "Exile and Vilify" has one of the cutest videos to go along with it. The video was chosen, actually, from a contest where fans were asked to make an appropriate video. I can only imagine how many horribly sad art films they had to go through.

If you like wheepy indie tunes, and mumbling singers, then The National is right up your alley. You could even probably mix some Coldplay in there, and some Aqualung and really go all the way into the crying. Try giving your mix to girl, I'm sure she'll think it's real deep.
